ABOUT
Where we've been and what we've done
Dave Elniski (he/they) actively works in trucking and busing occupational health and safety, having originally started in the trucking industry as a trucker after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. He later completed a Master's in Women and Gender Studies where he studied equity and other social factors in trucking safety system management. He holds the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and Certified Transportation Safety Professional (CTSP) designations and, in addition to working on day-to-day compliance and safety management best practices, has developed resources such as company safety programs, industry guidance documents, and custom audit tools. Dave has worked as a subject matter expert and expert witness, consultant, fleet safety manager, and researcher.
Katy Elniski (she/they) has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a college certificate in Healthcare Administration. She has over a decade of experience in health care administration, notably in the areas of mental health, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction. Additionally, she is an accomplished copy writer and editor, and applies these skills in a variety of applications like policy development, ghost writing, and research. She combines these skills with her other professional experience and education to tackle projects such as integrating trauma-informed care tenets into existing organizational policies and procedures.
